This painting is in the realm of magical realism as it represents a remembered and imagined scene at the same time. I feel the best when I am in open spaces and able to feel the wideness and wonder of the world. That sense of possibility and contentment is something we as human beings can all relate to, I think. “Cape Hedges” is that place in my mind where we all feel happy, healthy and fulfilled.
